We have a wonderful opportunity for Domestic Cleaners to come and be an integral part of the founding team that will launch Juniper’s new Transitional Care Program, opening at our Charles Jenkins facility in Bentley this June.

Juniper is very excited to be opening a new Transitional Aged Care facility to meet the needs of older adults awaiting permanent placement in residential care, or a return to health to enable them to live independently again in the community. Located at our Rowethorpe site in Bentley, this fully refurbished facility will provide for up to 60 individuals requiring additional care and support as part of their discharge from hospital.

We are now seeking Domestic Cleaners to join the founding team, on a part time basis.  The role is responsible for the completion of general cleaning activties throughout the facilty. The successful candidates will need to be able to work both morning and afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide cleaning services including vacuuming, emptying rubbish bins, dusting, wiping surfaces, maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms, windows, toilets, bathrooms and communal areas
  • Demonstrate a high level of respect for residents’ property and privacy
  • Safe use of equipment and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Adhere to Juniper’s policies and procedures relating to Occupational Safety and Health

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Knowledge of relevant chemicals and safe handling practices and procedures
  • An understanding of infection control procedures
  • Experience in domestic cleaning
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience working in an aged care environment would be an advantage.
