Previous experience and skills

Baker, Barista & Cafe All Rounder

This is a 7 days operation and weekend work will be required.
Successful applicants will have a passion for food preparation, coffee and customer service. You will be responsible for delivering quality products and unique coffee.
Our cabinets are filled with muffins, pies, quiches and more, all made in our store. This position requires a person with an eye for detail and love of working with quality food. Experience in food preparation and baking is highly regarded, however, further training is provided. This position will include early starts and weekend work, with working hours ranging from 4am – 12pm.
Barista and Café all rounders:
We are looking for an experienced barista to join our team and hit the ground running. Customer service, cash handling and coffee making are all part of this role. To be successful you will love the hustle and bustle of a busy environment and will enjoy working with people. Experience is highly regarded, however, full training is also provided.
This position will require weekend work, evening work, and a flexible availability.

Cleaner/Housekeeper – part time up to 20 hrs/wk

Perth City YHA, a 240 bed youth hostel in the Perth CBD, is currently seeking a permanent part-time Housekeeper (flexible hours, Monday to Sunday).
Duties include but are not restricted to:
•Cleaning of rooms
•Cleaning of common areas/kitchens/wet areas
•Ordering and stock control of chemicals

Cook / Kitchen Hand

Key of responsibility for cook
- Duties include preparing, cooking and cleaning
- maintaining high hygiene standard
- Set up workstations and cooking equipment before service
- Plan daily preparation schedules
- Ensure great presentation and quality according to our standards
- Keep kitchen environment clean and safe at all time
- Monitor and order stock to optimized efficiency, reduce wastage and control costs
- Proven experience as a cook in Grill or fryer position or both for minimum 1 year in the same role.
- Australian citizen, permanent visa holder or valid working permit visa.
- Able to demonstrate preparation skills including cutting and operating kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow instruction and procedures.
- Ability to work in a team, have a friendly, can do attitude.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
