On 28th October Lexis Perth will be closed for the Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday. Many of our students are taking full advantage of the long weekend and heading off on trips around Western Australia. A group of more than 20 students are going North to feed the Monkey Mia dolphins, visit national parks and enjoy the wilderness. Others are heading south to Margeret River and Albany. Any student staying in Perth over the long weekend can utlize the free Transperth bus, train and ferry services on Friday 28 October and Saturday 29 October.There will also be many other activities happening around Perth including live music, markets, street theatre and exhibitions. Today we had our biggest International Lunch yet with over 18 nationalities represented! There was tea and hommus from Saudi Arabia, sushi from Japan, dumplings from Korea, quiche from France, tim-tams from Australia, tart from South Africa, potato salad from Switzerland, Brazilian caramels, samosas from Reunion Islands, pasta from Italo-Switzerland, and papaya from Indonesia, among other things. It’s so wonderful to be able share cultures, speak English and eat together!
