Wow we have some talented students at the school! Today we enjoyed playing Basketball with Kanki, Chris, Scar, Shunta, Sherry, Yuki, Hanbyeol, Minsik, Flavio and Seongbin. A great end to another fun week!

Today’s activity was Soccer. What a mighty game the boys played with the girls cheering on the sideline! A great location for a game right by the beach. Great work.

Amazing Kayaking

Kayaking with River-gods at Seal and Penguin Island last Saturday was lots of fun.
We got picked up really early and headed an hour south of Perth to begin our adventures.

All morning we Kayaked and looked for Dolphins, seals and penguins, the
Lunch we had was amazing and in the afternoon we got to relax on the beach and swim.

This week we will go on a Swan Valley wine tour on Sunday and next week to the Pinnacles for Sandboarding.

Weekend Fun

At the long weekend Charlene from Student Uni Travel went over to Rottnest Island with Lexis Students: Corrine Martin, Maggie Peter, Ariane Schaffuer, Stephanie Nicolet and Diego Huber. A fun day was had by everyone, we took the early ferry over to the island from Fremantle and explored the Island by bike all day.

This Saturday we will be going Kayaking over to Seal and Penguin island from Rockingham.  We hope to see lots of wildlife and hopefully some wild dolphins! Sign up on Thursday at the Student Uni Travel desk upstairs to join in the fun!

Cambridge Big Day Out

On Wednesday our Cambridge students were taken on an excursion to Fremantle. There they visited the Fremantle Prison and the Shipwreck Museum. What a great way to study and learn with a great day out!

The Beautiful Monkey Mia

monkey mia collegeNadja Mathis recently went on the 4 day tour to Monkey Mia. The trip involved 4 huge days of adventure including, hiking, wildlife interaction, Aboriginal culture, cool hostels, amazing scenery and more! Nadja visited the Pinnacles, Kalbarri National Park, and Monkey Mia. Nadja had a great time and shared these fantastic pictures.

Nadja is now on the East Coast and we cannot wait to hear more about her adventures! She will be doing a scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef, which we look forward to seeing those pictures too!

Wine Tour

On Sunday 17th Feb our Student Uni Travel consultant Anni took a group of students to the Swan Valley on a Wine tour. It was a great day full of laughs and smiles! The lucky ones who got to taste our Western Australian Wine were Stefan Kurt, Stefan Keaser, Dominik Neiderer, Ellen Stadlemann, Alina Luetscher, Onder Koz, Petr Tauc, David Stadler, Mauro Schwizer, Yannik Stuz, Youssef Makadassi, Antoine, Nikolas Luethi, Adrian, Ruth and Karl Mueller, Silvia Biddau and Luigi Cima. Visiting 5 winery’s, a brewery, and the chocolate factory, its only 30 minutes outside of Perth city and really beautiful scenery but best thing was all the wine and cheese tasting!

South-West Trip

Overnight South West Trip!!
Want to see Margaret River and Busselton Jetty, which is the longest wooden Jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, Augusta and the Pemberton Big Tree?!
This is an awesome way to see the South West of Australia. Come and ask Carla or Annie all about the South West Tour. It will be leaving on 1st March, Friday afternoon after the BBQ and you will be back on Saturday Night approximately 8pm.

Don’t forget to take lots of pictures!

Our Students go Diving

Stefan Kurt and Dominik Niederer from Lexis Perth have been busy over the last two weekends. They have completed their PADI certificate and are now certified scuba divers! Well done!
After finishing their time at Lexis they will be doing an East Coast adventure where they will put their lessons into practice, go sailing the Whitsunday’s and diving on the beautiful Great Barrier Reef!
We cant wait to see some pictures and hear all about your adventures!

“The Rolling Stones of Prague”

Olympic

The Czech rock group from Prague coming to Perth, Sunday 24th February at the General Sikorski Polish Club in Bellevue at 6pm.
Here is a little information about them:
“Formed in 1963 after the breakup of “Karkulka”. Apart from their resident stage at club “Olympik”, they also performed as a house band of the Semafor Theatre Prague, where they premiered in the “Ondráš podotýká” music show on 11 November 1963. They debuted on 7″ vinyl in 1964 as a studio backing band for Karel Gott and Yvonne Přenosilová, albeit uncredited.”
